Enrollment in Summer Writing Workshops Now Open

Pumpernickel House Publishing is hosting two summer sessions of Writing the Short Story — a 4-Week Generative Writing Workshop designed to walk you through the process of writing a brand new story from beginning to end.

We'll be studying:

• Short story form from beginning to end

• How to pack a punch with tone from the very start

• Developing characters and POV

• Using narrative pattern and scene to build tension and theme

• How to hit the end note just right

• What to do when your story is done

Our workshops include opening exercises to target specific skills, collaborative discussions and planning, built-in writing time and feedback sessions, as well as reflective feedback from the workshop leader.

Sessions will be held Sunday, 4:00 to 5:30 pm EST, and Monday, 6:00 to 7:30 pm EST.
